Denim Care Guide

Denim is a wardrobe essential. Timeless, durable and designed to soften and develop character with wear. At Jac + Jack, our denim is made from cotton and cotton blends, designed to be lived in and worn for seasons to come.

Wash denim sparingly to maintain its original colour, shape and finish. Spot clean where possible, and follow the care instructions specific to each style.

• Turn inside out before washing
• Hand wash in cold water using a mild detergent, or machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle
• Wash with similar tones, and wash dark or raw denim separately as colour transfer may occur when wet
• Do not soak, bleach or wring
• Gently reshape denim while damp to help retain its fit
• If tumble drying, avoid high heat. Line drying in the shade is preferred

It is natural for denim to feel slightly firm after washing, but with wear it will soften and return to its usual fit and feel.

• Act quickly by gently blotting the stain with a damp, clean cloth - do not rub
• If needed, treat with a small amount of gentle detergent diluted with water, then turn the garment inside out and rinse thoroughly with cold water.

Always read the care label before applying heat to your silk garment.

• Steam where possible
• If using an iron, use a medium heat setting, turn the garment inside out and use a pressing cloth

• Hang or fold
• Keep in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight
• Be mindful of colour transfer onto lighter fabrics, particularly when new or damp
• Denim will naturally fade and soften over time
