Cotton Care Guide

At Jac + Jack, cotton has been part of our story from the beginning. A natural fibre derived from the cotton plant, it is valued for its softness, breathability and versatility. Cotton is naturally easy to care for, however a gentle approach will help preserve the colour, shape and softness of your garment for years to come.

Always check the care label first. We recommend the Leif x Jac + Jack everyday laundry detergent, a gentle pH-neutral, plant-based formula.

• Hand wash or machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold to warm water to prevent shrinkage, turning the garment inside out to preserve colour
• Use a mild detergent
• Do not bleach unless specified
• Line drying in the shade is preferred. If tumble drying, avoid high heat.

• Act quickly by blotting the stain gently with a damp, clean cloth - do not rub
• If needed, treat with a small amount of gentle detergent diluted with water, then turn the garment inside out and rinse thoroughly with cold water.
• For persistent stains, consult a specialist dry cleaner

• Steam where possible
• If ironing, use a medium to high heat setting using a pressing cloth on delicate finishes

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
• Fold heavier items and store flat. Hang lighter pieces
• Avoid damp environments
